Official Google cases for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

Official Google cases for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

The colours in which the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be offered have been known to us since I/O 2022 in May; now, let’s have a look at this year’s case design.

the 9to5Toys crew discovered three Pixel 7 cases in the colours Lemongrass (yellow/green), Obsidian (black), and Chalk (light grey). The design of Google’s covers hasn’t altered much since last year’s flagship phones, with the exception of how the camera bars are arranged. The edges/perimeter and said bar seem to have been raised once again.

There are two distinct variances, though. It’s unfortunate that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro cases are no longer transparent and are only one solid colour given the Lemongrass and Hazel colours of the smaller 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, respectively.

Additionally, unlike being made of soft rubber, the power button and volume rocker are made of a sturdy substance, either glossy plastic or shining metal. It should be simpler and more enjoyable to press that.

The buttons on the other two cases are colour-matched, whereas the ones in the Lemongrass case are pale gold. Google generally tries to mimic the colour of the camera bar. The “G” logo, which is reflective once more, is located on the back.

In the meanwhile, Chalk, Obsidian, Hazel, and a dark green colour called Hazel are all available for the Pixel 7 Pro cases. The case price should not fluctuate significantly from the $29 from the previous year.

These Pixel 7 cases’ solid colour should prevent fading, although it’s unclear if Google once more chose a dual-layer construction. The problems with that strategy have already become more than evident.

Since, you know, the phones appear very similar to one another, you’re out of luck if you were expecting to use your Pixel 6 case with your Pixel 7. Although it appears that all generations are around the same height, the positioning of the camera bar varies between the two sizes. Anyone who wants to trade in their Pixel 6 will also need to purchase a brand-new set of accessories in addition to the Pixel 7.
