After years of rumours and leaks, Google’s first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, will be unveiled on October 6th. Of course, with Google’s hardware launch so close, there have been ongoing leaks about the Pixel Watch. The most recent one was discovered on Reddit and featured a leaked picture of the watch’s retail box.

Unfortunately, the picture, which was shot at Target DC, doesn’t reveal much. As we can see, the package features branding for Fitbit, indicating that the Pixel Watch would be the first Wear OS wristwatch to integrate Fitbit and provide its consumers access to Fitbit’s market-leading fitness monitoring.

This retail box that was spotted at Target may indicate that Google’s first wristwatch would be available for shipping soon after the event on October 6. The tech giant’s most recent handsets, the Pixel 7, are expected to enter the market on October 18th, and Google has announced that pre-orders will start on the precise date. Google could also sell the Pixel Watch simultaneously with the Pixel 7 line.

If you plan to get a Pixel Watch, you should be aware that it will probably be more expensive than other similar devices. According to rumours, the Wi-Fi version will cost $350, while the cellular model will cost $400. The Apple Watch Series 8 — Cupertino’s most recent line of smartwatches — starts at $399 for the standard, GPS-only version and $499 for the base GPS + cellular variant, so this pricing are relatively comparable.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 series starts at $279 for the GPS-only 40mm device, which is significantly less expensive than the Apple Watch Series 8 and the reported pricing of the Pixel Watch.
