Some of our favourite low-cost Android phones are from the Samsung Galaxy A series. With its amazing 120Hz OLED display and respectable camera setup, the Galaxy A53 is a well-rounded product that costs less than $500.

Even though it hasn’t been for a full year, we’ve already begun hearing about its replacement, the Galaxy A54. The next Galaxy A54 5G which could end up looking like the Galaxy S23, is now clearly visible in the recently released renderings.

A couple of CAD renderings of the Galaxy A54 5G shared by trusted leaker OnLeaks (via 91Mobiles), give us a better idea of the design direction Samsung phones are taking. The back camera array is without a doubt the most noticeable modification. Instead of a large camera island, it now has three separate sensors sticking out from the flat rear. The design is considerably more streamlined and is similar to what we saw in the September Galaxy S23 leak.

On a better study of those renders, you’ll work a flat show (however with a sizeable chin bezel), just like what we were given at the Galaxy S22 collection. Recent iPhones added the flat, boxier layout lower back to vogue, however, Samsung will reputedly stay with a rounded body for the Galaxy A54 5G which typically permits higher grip and a herbal in-hand feel.

The Galaxy A54 5G will transition to a new mid-range Exynos chipset, according to another rumour, despite the fact that this claim doesn’t reveal much about the phone’s internals. Exynos 1280, which now powers the Galaxy A53, will be replaced by the Exynos 1380, which Samsung is predicted to release.

We know that the new mid-range SoC will enable Bluetooth 5.3 through a separate RF chip because it appeared on a Bluetooth certification page. The Exynos 1380 other specifications are scant, but SamMobile thinks it may power the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34.

Another processor known as the Exynos 1330 is additionally regarded withinside the identical listing. It will supposedly be triumphant with the Exynos 850 and may be reserved for inexpensive Galaxy F and M-series phones for global markets.

The Galaxy A54 (SM-A5460) received 3C certification last week in China (via GSM Arena), which typically occurs two months before the product is officially launched. This suggests that, rather than being released in March, as usual, the phone might be launched as early as January 2023.

However, it’s possible that this rumoured debut date just applies to the Chinese version, meaning we may need to wait a little longer for Samsung to introduce the Galaxy A54 in the US and other regions.
