Motorola Frontier spotted in live image 200MP camera sensor

Last year, launched the world’s first 200MP camera. Although Xiaomi hasn’t stated when the new 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor would be available, industry experts expect it will appear on a Xiaomi smartphone this year. That hasn’t happened yet. In fact, Xiaomi may be upgrading to a Sony Exmor sensor, while may be the first OEM to employ Samsung’s new 200MP camera monster, according to a recent leak.

The sensor is allegedly recorded on a phone’s camera. The images above and below, which allegedly represents the so-called , was disseminated over the Chinese social media network Weibo and afterwards on Twitter. The latter is a Moto-branded forthcoming flagship that has the “HP1” marking around the camera module. OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and an f/.2.2 aperture are mentioned on the same label.



Motorola’s Frontier Use HP1 sensor

Although the ISOCELL HP1 is set to debut on Motorola’s “Frontier” smartphone, Samsung could theoretically use the same sensor on its own devices if Motorola doesn’t have any sort of HP1 exclusivity.

In actuality, though, Samsung isn’t all that interested in the megapixel competition. Granted, some of its mid-range phones now boast higher-resolution cameras, with the Galaxy A73 breaking the 100-megapixel barrier. However, Samsung’s prospects of producing a 200MP smartphone this year are limited to none.

Despite its sleek appearance, high-refresh-rate display, and helpful optional Smart Stylus, Motorola’s new Edge+ failed to impress on the whole. Motorola, on the other hand, has something else up its sleeve, and we’ve just had a peek of it.



The Motorola “Frontier” has been speculated as a real flagship from the Lenovo-owned firm for quite some time. The flagship is expected to boast a large 200MP main camera, according to rumours, and we’ve seen renderings of the gadget. Now, a fresh picture from Weibo (via SamMobile) has surfaced, showing the camera lens up close.

According to rumours, the Frontier will be released this summer, maybe in July, but it’s unclear what the gadget will be marketed as. A 6.67-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a 4,500mAh battery with 125W charging, and up to 12GB and 256GB of RAM and storage are among the other speculated specifications. A 50MP ultrawide angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto sensor are reported to be among the additional cameras.
