The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are believed to be almost identical to their predecessors, with minor modifications on both versions and an S Pen silo in the Fold 4. However, Ice Universe claims that both the Fold 4 and Flip 4 will use a new version of TSMC’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This new chip dubbed the “,” will be manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung, and would have certain performance improvements as a result of the manufacturing change.

This would be a significant shift from previous generations of Samsung foldable, which have always used the same processor as the year’s Galaxy S flagship. Despite the fact that a Snapdragon 888+ was available around the time of its debut, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 employs the same Snapdragon 888 as the Galaxy S21 series.

However, it appears like Samsung has more in store. Samsung is preparing a third foldable form factor for the market this year, according to Galaxy Club, which is presently only known as “N4“. The “4” alludes to the device’s status as a member of Samsung’s fourth generation of foldable.

However, we have no idea what this next foldable would look like. Samsung did show off several cool new ideas at CES, including a rollable display and other devices with double-folding screens, but nothing has been confirmed for production.
