Since a few years ago, Apple has been developing the next-generation AirPods Pro, and according to sources, the firm plans to release the Apple AirPods Pro 2 in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
According to the most recent information, the company’s next flagship wireless earbuds won’t use its own Lightning connector for charging but rather a USB Type-C port.

The latest report also clarifies a few more improvements that are anticipated to accompany the new Apple AirPods Pro 2. The new System-in-Package (SIP) for the H1 chip is expected to power it, and it will allegedly enable enhanced adaptive noise reduction, EQ, spatial audio, and audio sharing.
Fast charging will also be supported by the USB Type-C charging case for the earphones, though specifics are still unknown. There’s also a chance that the device may get some additional sensors, including ones that can track heart rate and temperature.
There had already been rumours and photographs of the second-generation AirPods Pro, which include a few design modifications. According to current claims, the forthcoming earphones won’t have the alleged stemless design.
The skin-detect sensor, which made its debut with the newly released Apple AirPods 3, offers a more precise way to determine if the earbuds are truly in the user’s ears or not. The earbuds will be equipped with this sensor. It operates by identifying the amount of water in the wearer’s skin.
The Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) is also said to be supported by the earbuds, which would make them the first TWS earphones from the Cupertino-based tech giant to do so.
