Apple revealed the new Mac mini with M2 and the all-new M2 Pro. The M2 processor makes the Mac mini even more powerful, capable, and economical, with a new starting price of INR 59900. For the first time, the new M2 Pro processor brings pro-level performance to the Mac mini, allowing users to run high-performance processes previously inconceivable in such a small form factor.
The Mac mini M2 and M2 Pro models include quicker performance, more unified memory, and enhanced connectivity, including compatibility for up to two screens on the M2 model and up to three displays on the M2 Pro model. When combined with Studio Display and Magic accessories, as well as the power and simplicity of macOS Ventura, the Mac mini gives a remarkable desktop experience that will boost users’ productivity and creativity to new heights. Customers may order the new Mac mini models now, and they will be available on Tuesday, January 24.

M2 and M2 Pro provide even more performance
M2 and M2 Pro introduce a faster next-generation CPU and GPU, substantially greater memory bandwidth, and a more powerful media engine to Mac mini, giving exceptional performance and industry-leading power efficiency. Both versions have a sophisticated heat system for long-term performance.
M2 for Mac mini
The Mac mini with M2 has an 8-core CPU with four high-performance and four high-efficiency cores, as well as a 10-core GPU, making it ideal for consumers seeking ultrafast speed and exceptional productivity at an even more cheap starting price of INR 59900. For the first time, M2 Pro offers pro-level performance to the Mac mini. M2 Pro offers 200GB/s of memory bandwidth — double that of M2 — and supports up to 32GB of memory. It contains up to a 12-core CPU with eight high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores, as well as up to a 19-core GPU. The next-generation Neural Engine is 40% quicker than M1, accelerating machine learning activities like video analysis and image processing.

The Mac mini continues to provide significant connection via a variety of connectors. The M2 variant comes with two Thunderbolt 4 connections and can accommodate up to two screens. The M2 Pro has four Thunderbolt 4 connections and can accommodate up to three screens. Furthermore, the M2 Pro variant can accommodate a single 8K display, a first for the Mac. Both variants have two USB-A connections, an HDMI connector, a Gigabit Ethernet port with a 10GB option, and a high-impedance headphone jack. Both new versions include the newest wireless communication standards, including Wi-Fi 6E for up to 2x faster throughput than previously and Bluetooth 5.3.

Price of the M2 Pro Mac mini
The pricing is greater than the previous Intel model, which Apple maintained on the market for $1,099/£1,099. The new M2 Pro is priced at $1,299 (£1,399).
We expected a price hike over the four-year-old Intel model, which debuted in 2018. While it is somewhat more expensive than the ordinary M2 Mac mini (which retails for $599/£649 and $799/£849), it is still a reasonable value when compared to the similarly specced M2 Pro Macs sold by Apple:
