Samsung unveiled the first-ever Global Goals band for the Samsung Galaxy Watch in conjunction with its Unpacked event. It will be offered in 14 regions, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United States, and the United Kingdom. This is the first Samsung watch band created to support the Global Goals.
In order to further the UNDP’s worldwide work in creating sustainable policies and strengthening resilient institutions in more than 170 countries, 5% of every Global Goals band purchased will be given to the UNDP.
Additionally, Samsung has distributed two new Global Goals watch faces all through the world that sync up with the Samsung Global Goals App. It’s now simpler than ever for Samsung Galaxy customers to support the causes they care about thanks to the Global Goals watch faces. For instance, the new watch faces feature inspirational statements about the Goals and make it simple for Samsung Galaxy users to find out more information about the Global Goals. The Samsung Galaxy community is encouraged to care about and participate in the Global Goals, which are more crucial than ever. This is the goal of the Global Goals watch faces.
Mobilising the community for the Samsung Galaxy Global Goals
The UN Sustainable Development Goals, commonly referred to as the Global Goals, were created in 2015 by world leaders with the intention of improving the world by the year 2030. The Global Goals are a collection of aspirational benchmarks for social progress that address important global concerns like inequality, climate change, and education.
In order to hasten global advancement by 2030, Samsung and the UNDP collaborated to develop the Samsung Global Goals App in 2019. The app, which is available on more than 200 million Samsung Galaxy smartphones globally, provides straightforward options for users to become familiar with the Global Goals, raise awareness of them, and raise money for the UNDP’s international programmes.
There is an urgent need to take action with less than ten years until the 2030 deadline for achieving the Global Goals. The goal of Samsung is to motivate individuals to perform tiny, individual activities that, when added up, can result in a large-scale, positive global change.
The introduction of the new Global Goals watches accessories is one of the modest but significant efforts that Samsung is making toward realising the common objective.
