The platform is called Snapdragon Sight and a new hardware chip powers it all. The ISP is packed with improvements over previous generations, starting with the ability to process 3.2 gigapixels per second, which is a big advantage over the Snapdragon’s 2.7 gigapixels per second on 888 in all. In real-world use, that means the new rig can capture 240 12MP photos or 30 full-resolution 108MP photos per second.

It takes more than a good ISP to get good photos from your phone. Since everything goes through a small lens without too much focal length, it takes a lot of technology to give us the photos we love.
