Samsung will follow up the teaser campaign with a new video commercial after formally confirming that it would hold the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy S24 series on January 17. In this little video, Samsung phones from the last 40 years are showcased as they go through the history of mobile phones.

The adventure started in 1988 when a real brick phone arrived, introducing the wonder of being able to make calls without a cord. Next, we jump ahead to 1999 and the release of Samsung’s first TV phone, which beamed live television using the digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) standard. The first stop on the tour is 2011 and the introduction of the Galaxy Note, which invented the large-screen phone experience.

The Galaxy S5 introduced P67 water and dust resistance to the general public in 2014, and the Galaxy S6 Edge introduced wireless card payments with Samsung Pay. The Galaxy Z Flip, which co-founded the movement for foldable smartphones with the Z Fold, is the final gadget on the list. The Galaxy S24 Ultra silhouette is then used in the advertisement to hint at a “new era of mobile.”
