Device leaks often follow a predictable pattern, with better, more revealing images surfacing as launch events get closer. The next Galaxy Watch 5 versions from Samsung, however, offer a quick route to the finish line in the form of high-resolution 3D “turntable” renderings that showcase the two models from every aspect.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is the most formal and expensive of the two, and it most closely resembles the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic from the previous year. The standalone cellular broadband device, code-named Project X, will be available in black or grey titanium and with or without LTE radios.
The Galaxy Watch 5 regular model, codenamed Heart, will replace the Watch 4 standard in 2021. (which itself is best thought of as an extension of the defunct Watch Active line).
This model offers two case sizes (only the larger of the two is seen here), a wider range of colours than the Pro series, and arrives in either LTE or Bluetooth flavours. Both devices will run One UI Watch 4.5 on wearOS 3.5.
Watch this space for more information on these and other gadgets that Samsung will be announcing during its customary summer Unpacked presentation next month. Along with the watches, we anticipate updated Pro earphones and the newest Flip and Fold folding flagships, which will steal the show.
