Apple Mixed-Reality Headset Visible in Leaked Photos

Pictures of what appear to be parts for Apple’s future mixed-reality headset have been posted online.

The pictures are from a protected Twitter account holder who has a history of publishing factual information on Apple parts. In three of the images, ribbon cables with a certain form that fits around a user’s eyes are seen. These cables might be used to link display parts to a board. Another purports to depict a similar-length flexible ribbon with an array of three sensors or cameras.

The series of images are accompanied by a “smiling face with sunglasses” emoji, and while they are not explicitly tied to Apple’s headset, the shape of the ribbon cables reinforces indications that they are indeed designed for the upcoming device.
