Apple Store TRX: Malaysia’s first Apple Store early look

The Exchange TRX became operational last week to join other main access points to the Tun Razak Exchange financial district in Kuala Lumpur. One of the largest shopping malls in the TRX City Park on its rooftop is about 10 acres in size with the first Apple Store in Malaysia.

The Apple Store TRX, the first official Apple store in Malaysia has been one of the best-kept secrets in Kuala Lumpur but now it is confirmed.

Apple said that the store is set to open at 10 am on 22nd June and to mark the occasion, customers can get wallpaper for the store design.

It has been said that the best-kept secrets are those that are not secrets at all and this holds for Apple Store TRX.

The roof design is rather peculiar as it is reminiscent of the tudung saji and one will surely be able to spot the building as soon as he or she turns to the side of the TRX City Park entrance. This is regardless of whether you are coming from within the Exchange TRX or from the mall’s dining terrace given that the dining terrace will give you easier access to the park.

For years now there have been rumors of Apple Inc. opening a store in Kuala Lumpur and when a stunning architectural design for a building was unveiled for a new shopping center in the city known as the Exchange TRX, many thought that this would be where the tech giant decides to set up shop.

it is not all doom and gloom as the Apple Store TRX remains quite spacious. Not only that I did not have to step into the store to realize how high the ceiling was but I was expecting it to be much larger.

Last year, the theory was given credence when Apple logos were seen and photographed in the area, only to be quickly taken down.

Apple has now come out to confirm that the building is the company’s newest retail store and it will open its doors on 22nd June.

But, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg mentioned in his report back in June that the tech giant had planned to open its Apple Store TRX in February 2024. If that is true, then there are still a few more months to go before you can set foot on the first Apple Store in Malaysia.
