On March 5, 2024, Nothing Phone (2a) will go on sale in India. We’ve kept up with all the discussions and speculations about the phone because it represents the brand’s debut in a new market. We are pleased to share with our readers the first look at these stunning 5K renderings of the Nothing Phone (2a), which showcase the phone’s beauty. This collaboration with renowned tipster @OnLeaks came about today.
Nothing Phone (2a) CAD Renders at 5K
Phone (2a) initial 5K CAD-based renderings display the device in its Dark Gray hue. With this model, nothing has been done to take a slightly different design approach. In contrast to Phones (1) and (2a), the dual camera arrangement on the back panel is positioned horizontally inside a circular island in the center.
At the island’s center are two sensors inside a pill-shaped cutout. Surrounding the cutout is a concentric texture that runs to the island’s edge. The flash module is positioned toward the top right of the camera modules. Surrounding the camera island are Nothing’s iconic Glyph Lights. In total, the phone carries three light strips: two toward the left and one vertical strip to the right.
The semi-transparent design also reveals a bunch of screws and a curvy element that runs from the camera island to the bottom of the smartphone. The phone also carries Nothing’s branding at the bottom left corner.
The phone has a metallic frame and buttons, a punch-hole camera positioned in the center, and little bezels on the front. According to the 5K renderings, the Phone (2a) has a strong appearance that nothing is renowned for, making it one of the most distinctive and expensive-looking smartphones in its class.
Specifications for Nothing Phone (2a) were leaked
It is confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2a) will have a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, in line with our earlier report from December 2023. Two Samsung sensors will be included in the smartphone’s optics: the primary ISOCELL S5KG9 50MP (with OIS) and the secondary ISOCELL JN1 50MP for taking ultrawide photos. Users will receive a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, stated earlier today that the Dimensity 7200 SoC will not be present in Phone (2a). It is now confirmed that the phone equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC will be the first to be released. Given that no other smartphone has the Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, this is consistent with the rumors surrounding the smartphone with the custom-made MediaTek processor.
Phone (2a) will include “8/12GB RAM + 128/256GB storage” in addition to the new CPU. A 5,000 mAh battery that enables 45W cable charging will power the smartphone. The smartphone will come pre-installed with NOthing OS 2.5.2, based on Android 14. It measures approximately 161.7 x 76.3 x 8.55 mm. There should be 190 grams in the device.
It is also confirmed that the phone will include IP54 water and dust protection, NFC, and an AI wallpaper-generating capability.
Nothing Phone (2a) Cost in India
Phone (2a) will have a starting price of less than Rs. 25,000. Our sources indicate that the basic model may retail for about Rs. 23,999 in India. We don’t yet know if card offers will be part of this.
