Officially unveiled Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL

Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL

the Google Pixel Pro is now available in a smaller form factor! Together with the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the 6.8-inch display model that replaces the company’s flagship from last year, Google unveiled the new model today. It has a 6.3-inch display.

Both of those displays have a flat Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top and are Super Actua LTPO units with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and great brightness (up to 3,000 nits). The Pixel 9 Pro’s 6.3-inch panel has a resolution of 1280×2856 pixels; the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s 6.8-inch screen increases that to 1344×2992 pixels.

Finally, the optical fingerprint scanners on the Pixel 9 Pros are replaced with an ultrasonic one, which Google claims is 50% faster. In addition to being speedier and more dependable overall, ultrasonic scanners can read your print without requiring a dazzling flash of light.

Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL Camera improvements

The flat sides of the Pixel 9 series are emphasized in design. Around the phone and the Google Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL cameras are flat frames with a shiny, polished metal appearance. The finish contrasts with the matte appearance of the rear panel.

Aside from size, the two phones appear to be the same. Additionally, they have triple camera sets mounted on the same bars on the rear.

A pair of 48MP 1/2.55″ cameras are used for the ultrawide and 5x telephoto zoom, and a 50MP 1/1.31″ wide-angle primary camera is used in the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL. Multi-zone laser-assisted focus (LDAF) advantages extend to all rear cameras. Google has updated its Pros with a 42MP front-facing camera (perhaps utilizing the 50MP Samsung 3J1 sensor).
