The expectation for Google I/O and the products that the company is anticipated to introduce at the event is growing every day. The Pixel Buds A-Series in “Sky Blue” are another item that is expected to be unveiled at the event, but we haven’t been paying much attention to it because we have been so focused on the Google Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.
Now, a fresh leak has shown up, providing a clearer view of the current Pixel Buds A-Series in the brand-new blue color and showing the correct position of the color pop. The space of the battery case lid and the earbuds themself will both feature the new sky blue color, as previously discovered leaks had suggested.
this is not a brand-new item. Since the Google Pixel 6a was first introduced, the Pixel Buds A-Series have been available for almost exactly a year. They were designed as an affordable earbud option. The Pixel Buds A-Series have made a comeback with the new color, though, in light of the impending release of the Pixel 7a in just a few days.
Sky Blue is expected to be almost an exact match to the Pixel 7a‘s awaited “Arctic Blue” color, which looks to be a very subdued pastel blue. Of course, there aren’t really any differences to be expected in terms of specs or performance since this is just a relaunch in a new color.
Almost identical to the original Pixel Buds in looks, the Pixel Buds A-Series are completely void of wireless charging, active noise cancellation, and other premium features. At the time of its release, it was credited with nearly eliminating the annoying cutoffs that the first Pixel Buds had. This leak claims that the price of these buds will not change from their current MSRP, which is $99 USD at the moment.
It’s unknown whether these earbuds will come with the Google Pixel 7a when purchased through the Google Store or any phone carriers, that possibility is highly likely given last year’s offers for the Pixel 6a. With the added benefit that you can match their color to your new smartphone, I can see these as a very viable option for new Google Pixel 7a owners who want earbuds but don’t require pro features.
