Google I/O 2024 conference is set for May 14

I/O 2024 will take place on Tuesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. PT, according to Google, which announced this morning’s “Break the loop” challenge.

CEO Sundar Pichai will give the opening keynote address at I/O 2024, which will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. The developer keynote and on-demand technical seminars will come next.

Google began holding I/O in the music venue near to its offices in 2016. However, in 2020, there was no event, and in 2019, everything was done virtually. A webcast will be available for everyone else, in addition to a “small live audience.”

Update: On May 15, there will be an additional day of live programming for those who attended in person. I/O used to take place across three days, but for the past two years, it has only lasted one day.

Google plans to provide the schedule and list of sessions closer to I/O 2024. Free online registration is available starting today.

On Android 15, anticipate a plethora of AI announcements and more. Google should take advantage of I/O to reveal more about Android XR. Regarding hardware, we anticipate the announcement of the Pixel 8a.
