According to recent reports, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly be equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, continuing the mobile industry’s natural progression. The new silicon is expected to be produced later this year by a different smartphone manufacturer, but it will power the Galaxy S23 Ultra once it is prepared to go on sale in Q1 2023.
According to leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC boasts an odd mix of CPU cores that includes 3 Cortex-A510, 1 Cortex-X3, 2 Cortex-A720, and 2 Cortex-A710 cores. The CPU and the Adreno 740 graphics processor ought to cooperate.
According to rumours, TSMC will use a 4nm technology to make the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC utilised the latter.
A base model, a Plus, and an Ultra should be available in the future Galaxy S23 range. Additionally, there is currently no reason to think that the three won’t share a processor, much like the previous Galaxy S flagship models did.
