Samsung Electronics, a global leader in innovative memory technology, unveiled the Samsung PRO Endurance microSD card today. The card is specifically developed to fulfil the demanding requirements of security cameras, dashboard cameras, doorbell cameras, body cameras, and other types of cameras. It provides increased endurance and superior performance for smooth and dependable continuous recording and playback.
“The need for long-lasting and high-performing video surveillance systems is growing, and the PRO Endurance has been built to meet that demand,” said KyuYoung Lee, Vice President of Samsung Electronics‘ Memory Brand Product Biz Team. “Our new memory card will allow continuous recording at high resolution even under harsh situations for both consumers and corporate customers.”
Increased Endurance
Built with Samsung’s enterprise-grade NAND flash memory, the PRO Endurance card can record continuously for up to 16 years (140,160 hours) ensuring that every essential moment is caught. This implies that a single PRO Endurance card may outlast up to 33 ordinary speed-focused cards saving you money on frequent replacements and increasing the dependability of your video surveillance system.
Increased Efficiency
Samsung’s new memory card has read and write rates of up to 100 megabytes per second (MB/s) and 40 MB/s, respectively, and is certified Class 10 with U3 (UHS Speed Class 3) and V30 video speed certifications (Video Speed Class 30). This makes it suitable for handling huge, high-resolution files while allowing for continuous Full HD and 4K recording and playback.
Durability that lasts a long time
Because outdoor surveillance and body cameras are exposed to tough situations, the PRO Endurance has been designed to provide dependable performance in everyday usage thanks to Samsung’s enhanced six-proof durability. The card is now worn out-proof and drop-proof, in addition to being resistant to water, magnets, X-rays, and severe temperatures.
The PRO Endurance is available in four different storage capacities: 32 gigabytes (GB), 64 gigabytes (GB), 128 gigabytes (GB), and 256 gigabytes (GB), with MSRPs ranging from $10.99 for the 32GB to $54.99 for the 256GB.
