The newest modems from Qualcomm include the Snapdragon X75 for cars, PCs, and industrial IoT, and the Snapdragon X72 for mobile devices. Both are prepared to support 5G Advanced, also known as “the next phase of 5G” by the San Diego business.
The modems enable 10 Gbps downlink in both Wi-Fi 7 and 5G and include 10-carrier aggregation. The Snapdragon X75 modem is designed for a variety of applications, including autonomous cars, PCs, and industrial IoT.
The new QTM565 mmWave antenna module that Qualcomm’s 6th-gen modem-to-antenna solution leverages reduce cost, board complexity, hardware footprint, and energy usage. Qualcomm 5G PowerSave Gen 4 and Qualcomm RF Power Efficiency Suite considerably increase battery life.
By the end of 2023, commercial products featuring the upgraded Snapdragon modems are anticipated to be available.
