The iPhone 14 series, which consists of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, was introduced by Apple last week. A YouTube channel by the name of PBKreviews posted a deconstruction video for the iPhone 14 Pro Max that provides an in-depth look at what’s inside the new iPhone 14 Pro models. With the exception of the Dynamic Island hole-punch mechanism that Apple has implemented and a few other small alterations, the iPhone 14 Pro Max looks identical to the iPhone 13 Pro Max in terms of size and appearance from the outside. Let’s examine the internal differences between the iPhone 14 Pro Max and its predecessor.
iPhone 14 pro max Teardown reveals
The internals of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is quite identical to those of the iPhone 13 Pro Max just beneath the display. Since it is a US model with eSIM, there is no SIM tray. When the display is removed, an L-shaped battery with a 16.93Wh marking and the logic board with the new “A16 Bionic” etching on the left is visible.
There is a metal plate with graphite pads that transmit and disperse heat, according to an article in 9to5Mac. It’s possible that this is the new thermal technology that Apple revealed in their introduction presentation. The front camera features OIS, although Apple didn’t mention it in the presentation, which is another intriguing observation.
The satellite antenna module that will enable the new functionality can also be seen more clearly in the PBKreviews deconstruction, as well as how the US-only iPhone models lack a SIM card slot.
Additionally, it demonstrates Apple’s flagship phone innovative technique for mounting the proximity sensor beneath the display in order to create the “Dynamic Island” notch. This enables all components to fit in a space that is 30% smaller than the notch on the iPhone 13 Pro.
The video also highlights how much smaller the TrueDepth camera module for the front camera is, enabling the business to use Dynamic Island once more. According to the deconstruction video, the new 48-megapixel wide-angle camera on the iPhone 14 Pro Max also boasts a considerably bigger sensor.
Along with the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max was introduced on September 7. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has an A16 Bionic CPU, a 6.7-inch ProMotion display, and Apple’s innovative Dynamic Island hole-punch notch. A 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens are all included in the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max’s triple rear camera configuration.
