Samsung has been working to make its goods more environmentally – friendly in a variety of ways. Apart from strengthening its entire supply chain to be more environmentally friendly, the company has also produced eco-friendly accessories for its mobile devices and portable projectors. Some of these eco-friendly accessories are on show in South Korea.

Samsung has collaborated with accessory manufacturer Slash B Slash to develop eco-friendly accessories for Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy wearables, and The Freestyle projector. It has launched a pop-up shop in Yeouido, South Korea, to promote ‘Eco-Friends’ accessories for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and Galaxy Watch 5. More than 40% PCM (Post Consumer Material) is used in the production of the accessories, which include recycled plastic and vegan leather.

This project is being led by young (in their twenties) Samsung employees. These items show the MZ generation’s desire for valuable spending while also expressing personal preferences. The company originally introduced the Eco-Friends accessory line at IFA 2022 and has since increased its availability in over 28 countries. Gatorade, Hello Kitty, Muzik Tiger, Pokemon, Sponge Bob, Star Wars, The Simpsons, and other brands are represented in the accessory portfolio.

The SMAPP (Samsung Mobile Accessories Partnership Program) was used to create these accessories, which ensures quality standards for consumers and expands retail sales opportunities for accessory makers.

The items are now on display at SLBS Studio, a pop-up store. In addition to the 39 eco-friendly accessories, the store displays 150 other mobile accessories. Visitors can also personalize the accessories to their liking.
