The Galaxy Watch4 series is the latest line of Galaxy smartwatches with a suite of advanced features built to fit you, designed for the next era of smartwatch experience. You may customise your Galaxy Watch4 series to be as unique as you are, with a selection of bands and customisable watch faces, as well as a number of functions and applications. It doesn’t end there, though. With a software upgrade available starting October 20th, Galaxy Watch4 owners may take personalization to the next level and have access to additional features.
Here are some of the new features that will be available in the Galaxy Watch4 series.
It’s Your Watch Face, Just the Way You Want It
The latest update gives you additional watch faces and complications to pick from, allowing you to create the perfect watch face to match your personality and fit into your lifestyle.
You may now pick from four additional faces, allowing you to view any information you usually check with only a peek at your wrist. You can customise the new Info Brick watch face with the stats you care about the most, from heart rate and stress to daily activity status, whether you’re committed to smashing your fitness goals – or just want to keep an eye on your health numbers. Alternatively, you may select a watch face that shows an in-depth weather forecast. A simple dashboard or live wallpapers inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 – all of which may be modified – are available.
Gadgets are a wonderful way to get quick access to vital information and open the apps you use most usually. From battery life to reminders, messages, your step count, and more, you can now mix and match up to four features to show on your Animals watch face. Than a static photo, you can now pick a moving GIF for your My Photo+ watch face to create more dynamic and colorful watch faces that are completely unique to you.
This upgrade also adds additional creative animations to your Steps Challenge watch face, which will help you stay motivated as you track your progress in the challenge. From stretching before a challenge to celebrating after you win, an animated bear will follow you throughout your competition.
Added Gesture Control Provides More Usability
Gesture controls allow you to do more with only some few hand movements. In addition to lifting your forearms up and down twice to receive calls and twisting your wrist twice to reject calls or dismiss alarms, the update adds a new hand motion that may be used as a fast shortcut to open that same app or function. You may launch a pre-selected app, access the list of workouts, switch on a light, or even set a new reminder with a simple ‘knock, knock’ gesture with your wrist. Without lifting a finger or pushing a button, you can get to your favourite or most often used app or function.
Improved Fall Detection Can Help You or Your Loved Ones Stay Safe.
Fall Detection was first launched in the Galaxy smartwatch series in 2020, and it was capable of detecting if the wearer had fallen down while training. On the Galaxy Watch4, you can now increase the sensitivity so that it can detect a fall even when you’re still standing. In addition, the Galaxy Watch4 may send an SOS notification to up to four pre-selected contacts, allowing you to protect yourself and your loved ones.
You may also get a 60-day free Strava subscription — just for Galaxy Watch owners. With the Strava app, you can get the most out of your Galaxy Watch. Improved exercise analysis, training plans, safety features, and more will help you train smarter and remain motivated.
