so many foldable phones coming out this year, and it seems like a new competition is starting to see who can fit the biggest cover display on their compact foldable phones. OPPO now has the advantage with the Find N2 Flip, but Samsung isn’t resting on its laurels, as seen by the most recent Galaxy Z Flip 5 renders.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5’s outside screen is displayed differently in these fresh pictures than it was in a previous batch of renders that showed the device’s unusual dual-screen external cover. The concept pictures were produced by Technizo Concept and YouTuber Super Roader as an update to the earlier renderings. The Z Flip 5 is now presented with a single display rather than two cover screen displays.

The cover screen is generally square, except for a portion just close to the cameras that project slightly outwards.

If the Z Flip 5 looks like this, it will undoubtedly have a bigger cover display than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Even yet, SamMobile confirms the visuals with their mockup based on details regarding Samsung’s upcoming foldable that we should still take with a grain of salt.

Although SamMobile shows the display filling a larger portion of the cover, both the mockup and renderings are quite comparable.

Although the extra display area can look a little strange, it might be perfect for a notification bar where icons can be placed. Similar ideas are presented in the Motorola Razr+ 2023 renderings, which suggest that navigation and notification icons may only be displayed on a section of the display.

There is still plenty of time before Samsung unveils its next foldable. Renders of the gadget have already been shown to us, and more will presumably follow.
