OnePlus has filed a patent for a smartphone that looks identical to the 10 Pro but has a periscopic camera. Is this the rumoured 10 Ultra? Last week, you could read on LetsGoDigital the OnePlus 10 Ultra, a brand new smartphone model even more advanced than the OnePlus 10 Pro. The Pro model was introduced in China last month and will also arrive in the Netherlands in spring  2022, the manufacturer has already announced. 

The ultra-advanced Ultra model seems to be slated for the second half of 2022. The flagship model is expected to have an improved camera. Design details are still unknown. It is possible that a recently published patent will provide more clarity. TechInsiderBlog reported via Twitter a few days ago that OnePlus filed a patent for a phone very similar to the 10 Pro, but with a different camera system. To get a better picture of the patented OnePlus phone, graphic designer Jermaine Smit, aka Concept Creator, created a series of product images for LetsGoDigital in which the revamped camera system is central.

This is a design patent that was filed by OnePlus Technology with  EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) in September 2021. The documentation was released on January 28, 2022, and consists of seven patent images showing the phone from all sides. In March 2021, OnePlus had already registered this design in its home country of China. 

The new documentation also covers the EU. The front is identical to that of the OnePlus 10. The smartphone has a rounded screen with narrow screen edges. A hole has been drilled in the upper left corner for the selfie camera. On the left side are the volume keys, on the right side is the power button. Just above is the familiar warning slider. At the top there is a microphone, in addition, at the bottom we see a second microphone, a speaker, the compartment for SIM cards and a USB TypeC connection. 

The most striking is undoubtedly the rear. The camera system extends to the side of the device and therefore has the same type of design as the OnePlus 10 Pro, it is a triple camera system with flash. 

However, there is a clear difference to the Pro model, as the patented OnePlus 10 Ultra has a periscope zoom camera – with a rectangular lens. Immediately next to this camera is a frame, presumably, some text is placed inside. Like the zoom range, or a mention of the new MariSilicon NPU – more on that later. The first two cameras resemble the OnePlus 10 Pro: it could be a comparable 48 MP wide-angle camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

OnePlus is also taking things from Oppo. The 10 Ultra is said to be the brand’s first phone with a MariSilicon Imaging NPU from Oppo. This new 6nm NPU will debut in the Find X5 Pro. The Mari Silicon X enables RAW processing without loss of quality. Capturing 4K AI Night Video recordings with live preview will also be possible. The OxygenOS shell has also been modified, the latest version contains much more similarity with Oppo’s ColorOS.

The fast charging functionality is also shared. For example, the 10 Pro has 80W SuperVooC and 50W AirVooC – names that Oppo has been using for quite some time. Previously, OnePlus called this Warp Charge technology. Finally, the OnePlus 10 Ultra is expected to be equipped with an extra powerful chipset. The current Pro model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it’s Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date. In 2022, a slightly improved variant will probably appear, which will be applied to the Ultra 10. In the coming months, we will certainly know more about the new flagship model from OnePlus.

The OnePlus 10 Pro was just announced in China, with the worldwide launch still underway. Although it hasn’t happened yet, there are already rumours that a OnePlus 10 Ultra is expected to have a spectacular camera setup. We may have just spotted a sketch of the 10 Ultra via a recent patent the Chinese company was awarded in September 2021. 

The OnePls 10 Ultra is also expected to bring a few other changes over the 10 Pro, one of which could be an internal MariSilicon NPU that will further improve the imaging capabilities of the phone’s camera. The 10 Ultra should arrive in the second half of the year, which is still a long way off. Therefore, we expect more details to emerge by then.

Separately, OnePlus phones started with the goal of delivering affordable flagships. However, sanity has been adrift for the past two years. But now it seems  brands want to go back to basics, probably in an effort to gain more users. According to the well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station OnePlus is reportedly working on a range of OnePlus smartphones that aim to deliver high performance and gaming-oriented, and these will come at an affordable price. Reports suggest that the phones in the series will cost between $315 and $475. But the prices will be higher in the global and Indian markets and probably won’t be as potent as other flagships. 

We can therefore assume that these could be high-end mid-range offerings at best. Digital Chat Station says the phones in the series will have the basics of flagship chipsets and flat screens. However, details regarding the chipsets are unknown at this time. Also, we can assume that the phones might lose features like wireless charging, IP rating and others to reduce the price. We should know more details about the phones soon.

OnePlus will unveil the new 10 Pro in approximately one week. On January 11, 2022, this high-end smartphone will be released in China. This will be the subject of a launch event, which will begin at 7:00 a.m. Dutch time. In recent years, much has been learned about the design and specifications. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be a big, speedy phone with a new camera design and a massive battery with better-charging choices.

According to OnePlus’ website, the Emerald Forest colour scheme “captures the early morning sun and converts dew into sparkling crystals that float in the air.” Angled microcrystals recreate the interaction of light and shadow, inspiring stillness and tranquillity, echoing the passage of time.”

“Inspired by an infinite sea of sand dunes under a moonlight sky, distinctive micro-crystals imitate dazzling grains of sand in a surreal environment,” OnePlus claims of the dark Volcanic Black version. The black surface’s purity creates a yearning to investigate the deep and gloomy quiet.”

So instead of sandstone,’ microcrystals’ that appear like ‘glistening grains of sand’ were utilised for the back. The camera island is composed of ceramic rather than metal. According to OnePlus, this material is 13 times stronger than glass.

“Mirrored ceramics and frosted glass give a smooth visual flow,” the company says. The Hasselblad emblem, etched in the curving ceramic border, combines light and shadow to make an emotive statement without saying anything.”

The OnePlus 10 Pro was just discovered on GeekBench, giving information on its RAM setup, SoC, even Android version. The device’s style and design, as well as its debut date, have now been revealed in an apparent official video. On his Twitter account, he posted a video teaser for the new OnePlus 10 Pro.

A sensor with the inscription “P2D 50T” is also present on the camera body however, information on its functionality is scarce. The Hasselblad brand is also present on the camera module, indicating the collaboration between OnePlus and Hasselblad for the cameras of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Nothing appears to be new on the front panel from the existing OnePlus 9 Pro, and the phone will most likely keep the 6.7-inch curved display with narrow borders and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 32MP camera is located on the device. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, according to GeekBench specifications.

The smartphone is likely to run Android 12 and come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 125W rapid charging. Previous rumours predicted a January 4, 2022 release date, but if this video is to be trusted, the phone will be available on January 11, 2022. The video appears to have originated on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, but we were unable to determine its source or verify its authenticity, so take this information with a large pinch of salt.

Samsung is known for filing patents for smartphone models with flexible screens on a regular basis. Some, like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, can be folded. Others, like the Slideable Samsung Display that debuted earlier this year, are pull-out. LetsGoDigital reported about a Samsung dual-slide smartphone earlier this week, and a Galaxy Z Fold & Slide was also recently touted.

Samsung Electronics submitted a patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on June 10, 2021, for an “Electronic device capable of folding and sliding operations.” On December 16, 2021, the 83-page manual was released. The innovative Samsung smartphone seems to be a standard gadget in its most compact configuration. It’s a fashionable smartphone with a high screen-to-body ratio. At the top and bottom, a very small frame margin is visible. In contrast to the right, the left side of the screen is rounded.

The specifications for the OnePlus Nord 2 CE have been leaked.

The OnePlus Nord 2 CE spec includes a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is said to have a triple camera setup on the rear, with a 64 MP main OmniVision sensor, an ultra-wide lens of 8 MP and a 2 MP macro lens. 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chat and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. 

The phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset, as well as up to 8/12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage. Most likely, the unique OxygenOS 12 skin based on Android 12 will be launched right away. 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, microSD card slot, GPS, NFC, and a USB TypeC connector are among the connectivity features.

In the first quarter of next year, the OnePlus 10 series will be introduced. Following earlier leaks, OnLeaks revealed the OnePlus 10 Pro specifications, revealing that it has a 6.7-inch QHD + display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and dust resistance. & water-resistant to IP68.

Previously unknown businesses have now revealed the release of a foldable smartphone. In the middle of this year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. This year, Xiaomi unveiled its first foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, which is exclusively available in China.

Although Oppo has filed several patents over time for foldable smartphone models, this does not apply to its sister company OnePlus. However, it is expected that once a foldable Oppo is announced, it won’t be long before a OnePlus foldable phone appears as well.

Meanwhile, LetsGoDigital discovered a  Shenzhen OnePlus technology patent for the foldable phone with three display parts invented by Gao Yang. This is the first folding smartphone patent from OnePlus that LetsGoDigital talks about. This is remarkable because other big phone brands have already registered dozens of foldable models. Documentation titled “Mobile Terminal” was requested by OnePlus in China at the end of 2020, after which the publication took place on July 20, 2021. Subsequently, the Chinese documentation was also included in the World Office database. of Intellectual Property  (WIPO)  for the world’s patented technology protection.
