No iPhone has ever been beaten by a smartphone in the first lap of the PhoneBuff speed test in the previous three years, but we don’t want to ruin the surprise for you by telling you what the final score was. The iPhone 14 Pro Max was defeated by the Galaxy S23 Ultra on the opening lap, though.
Even though the margin was small, a win is still a win. You can see in the video below whether the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which defeated the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the first lap, is able to prevail in this contest. The Galaxy S23 Ultra managed to hold onto its slim lead throughout the competition and eventually won the speed test against the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
